About Us

Seren Quarter Horses, in the picturesque Vale Of Glamorgan, is owned and run by the Goodliffe family.

At the heart of the operation is John Goodliffe; John is passionate about the horses that he breeds at the farm and sees the stock that is bred here as a part of an extended family. Testimony to this is the ongoing correspondences from people who have bought horses over the years, many of whom compete with their quarter horses and are always eager to let John know how his boys and girls are doing.

Established in 1989, with the purchase of a Stallion called Lunar Lucre, the farm is some 120 acres rearing both horses and sheep and since those humble beginnings we have become one of the leading quarter horse breeders in both South Wales and the United Kingdom.

The South Wales area enjoys a high concentration of quality quarter horse breeders with many of the season’s best foals being produced here and some of the UK’s best stallions standing at stud. We have consistently produced fantastic young stock with the focus firmly on quality and affordability with a progressive breed program featuring both UK horses and imported stock.

We love to talk about Quarter Horses – and we welcome visitors, so if you are looking for a horse, want to know more about the breed, or are just curious, get in touch and we will be delighted to welcome you!
